Description of Course:
Therapeutic diets along with specific texture and consistency modifications play a vital role in supporting patient recovery, safety, and overall wellbeing. Accurate identification, communication, and implementation of these orders require interdisciplinary collaboration and attention to individual patient needs, including medical, personal, and cultural preferences. By prioritizing precision and teamwork, we can significantly improve patient outcomes and satisfaction.
Learning Outcomes:
Define therapeutic diets, Identify common types of therapeutic diets
Explain the importance of accurate diet order entry, Identify common errors, Demonstrate the correct process
Differentiate between various texture and consistency modifications
Recognize the role of interdisciplinary teams
Apply principles of menu planning, Demonstrate awareness of safety considerations
CE Hours (Requested):
BRN & NAB - 1 Hour
Registrants must be individually logged in for the full session to receive CE hours and certificate. BRN certificates will be available on your member dashboard after the conclusion of the training. (quiz and evaluation must be completed first).

Audio/Visual:
Virtual training experiences will happen in real time on the date and time advertised. They will require a Wi-Fi connection, a laptop/computer and/or a smartphone. For the best experience, we highly encourage you to participate in a distraction-free environment.
Materials Provided:
Handouts/materials will be available in the chat box during the training.
BOARD REFUND POLICY
In order to receive a refund, cancellations for QCHF/CAHF classes must be made five (5) business days (Monday-Friday) prior to the beginning of the course. Cancellations must be in writing to cmerced@cahf.org. Transfer of registration is done ONLY if notified in writing prior to the start of the class.
QCHF reserves the rights to cancel this training at any time.
