Description of Course:
You've had the experience — something felt off about a resident before anything showed up on the chart. This session explores what's happening in the hours and days before decline becomes obvious, and how AI-driven early warning tools are helping post-acute nursing teams turn that instinct into a documented, actionable signal. Participants will leave with a deeper understanding of what early deterioration actually looks like in the data and how catching the right signal 48 to 72 hours earlier changes the outcome for their residents.
Who Should Attend:
Administrator, Director of Nursing (DON), Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON), Quality Assurance Nurse, Infection Preventionist, MDS Coordinator, Registered Nurse (RN)
Learning Objectives:
1. Identify at least three subtle clinical indicators that AI-driven predictive tools can detect earlier than traditional clinical observation and describe how these indicators relate to the onset of resident deterioration.
2. Explain two or more workflow or communication strategies that support effective integration of AI-generated predictions into interdisciplinary post-acute care teams, including nursing, rehab, and leadership roles.
3. Apply a structured decision-making approach to translate AI-generated risk scores or alerts into specific, person-centered clinical or rehab interventions aimed at preventing decline or readmission.
CE Hours (Requested):
BRN & NAB - 1 Hour
Registrants must be individually logged in for the full session to receive CE hours and certificate. BRN certificates will be available on your member dashboard after the conclusion of the training. (quiz and evaluation must be completed first).
