Description of Course:
As quality measures increasingly influence reimbursement, public reporting, and Five-Star ratings, organizations must anticipate performance risks rather than respond to them. Participants will explore recent quality measure updates, how staffing levels and competency influence outcomes, and more… gaining practical strategies to support sustained Five-Star performance.

Who Should Attend:
Administrator, Director of Nursing (DON), MDS Coordinator

Learning Objectives:
1.Explain the evolving relationship between clinical reimbursement, MDS assessment processes, and CMS Quality Measures, and why traditional reactive quality management models are no longer sufficient.
2.Identify recent CMS Quality Measure updates and methodological changes that increase risk for unanticipated score declines, Five-Star volatility, and public reporting exposure.
3.Demonstrate how predictive analytics, emerging technologies, and real-time data review can be used to identify adverse Quality Measure risk prior to assessment completion, enabling timely clinical and documentation interventions.
4.Apply cross-functional strategies that align nursing, therapy, MDS, and leadership teams to proactively manage Quality Measures, stabilize Five-Star ratings, and position compliance and quality as strategic performance drivers.
