Login Access: 
The link will be emailed 24-hours prior to the virtual training date, and 15 minutes prior to the start for all late or same-day registrations. The email will come from an @cahf.org email address.

Description of Course:
Effective communication is essential in providing compassionate and person-centered care for residents living with dementia. This session will equip caregivers, healthcare professionals, and staff with practical strategies to enhance communication, reduce frustration, and foster meaningful connections.

Learning Objectives: 
Understanding the impact of dementia on communication.
Verbal and non-verbal communication techniques.
Strategies for managing challenging interactions.
The role of empathy and active listening.
Creating a supportive and engaging environment.

CE Hours (Requested):
BRN - 1
Registrants must be individually logged in for the full session to receive CE hours and certificate. BRN certificates will be available on your member dashboard after the conclusion of the training. (quiz and evaluation must be completed first). This training is only approved for BRN CEs.

Audio/Visual:
Virtual training experiences will happen in real time on the date and time advertised. They will require a Wi-Fi connection, a laptop/computer and/or a smartphone. For the best experience, we highly encourage you to participate in a distraction-free environment.

Materials Provided:
Handouts/materials will be available in the chat box during the training.

BOARD REFUND POLICY
In order to receive a refund, cancellations for QCHF/CAHF classes must be made five (5) business days (Monday-Friday) prior to the beginning of the course. Cancellations must be in writing to cmerced@cahf.org. Transfer of registration is done ONLY if notified in writing prior to the start of the class.
